Mozzarella Stuffed Chicken Meatballs

This is an easy recipe that cooks in a crock pot and is great leftover. I like to use our mild chicken sausage, but you can use beef, or pork as well.

Ingredients:

1 -2 pounds of Three Sisters ranch mild chicken sausage

Mozzarella balls

Large jar pasta sauce of your choice. We like Raos

Pasta of your choice

Shredded parmesan cheese

How to Cook:

Form 2 inch meatballs from your mild chicken sausage—consistency is key. Take a mozzarella ball, and push it into the meatball, and seal the hole. Then, place all of your cheese stuffed meatballs into the bottom of your slow cooker.

Pour your pasta sauce over the top of the meatballs, Cook on slow for 4-5 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours.

Serve over pasta, or I’ve been known to eat it without pasta. Top with parmesan cheese.

Notes: If you don’t have “mozzarella balls,” you can cut up mozzarella sticks into 1/2 inch pieces. It works the same.

I tend to use 2 pounds of chicken sausage, as we like hearty meals.
