Three Sisters Ranch Meatloaf
This recipe is combination of 2 recipes I have in my recipe binder that I have finally decided to publish (mostly for myself). My favorite part is the optional cheese balls or cheese cubes that I tuck into the loaf. I also like to make individual loaves for my family. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 eggs
3/4 c. milk
2/3 c. bread crumbs
1/2 c chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp celery salt
1/2 tsp garlic salt
2 pounds ground beef
1 c. ketchup
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Optional: cheese cubes
How to Cook:
In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add milk, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, dry mustard, celery salt and garlic salt. Add beef and mix well. Don’t be afraid to use your hands to mix well. Place parchment paper in a shallow pan. In the shallow pan, shape meat into a loaf. Optional: put chunks of cheese into the loaf and seal the openings. Sometimes, I make 4 small loaves in the same shallow pan.
For the sauce, combine ketchup, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce.
Cover the loaf or loaves with 3/4 of the sauce. Bake in an oven at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Let rest for 10 minutes. Serve with remaining sauce.
